Sophia Longo is a watercolor painter and fashion textile print designer
who has lived in North Vancouver, BC, with her husband since 2017.
Originally from São Paulo, Brazil, she received her BFA in Fashion Design from FASM Faculdade Santa Marcelina in 2007 and her MFA in Art History from FAAP - Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado in 2011.
She has been creating print designs for fabrics since 2007.
After traveling to London in 2012, where she bought a small watercolor travel set,
she started to study this media by herself.
In 2014 she began teaching.
From 2015 to 2016, she was a professor at Santa Marcelina Faculty, in São Paulo,
teaching Fashion Illustration and also at Innovation Creative School (ICS),
teaching Pattern Design and Painting.
Currently, she collaborates as an assistant to the acclaimed Canadian artist Susanna Blunt, she also teaches online classes for fashion students and designers and she has been exhibiting her paintings in Vancouver, Canada.
